Marc started his career as a processor under his parent’s mortgage brokerage in 1991. After graduating high school, he originated his first mortgage at the age of 18 while attending Pennsylvania State University. He then graduated in 1998 with a BS in Chemical and Material Science Engineering and continued for graduate studies at Brown University. He continued to originate loans while in Rhode Island and after finishing his doctorate, he was relocated by Genentech in 2002 to South San Francisco where he worked as their process science engineer. He also worked under Countrywide Home Loans in Palo Alto as a loan officer. He continued to work both types of jobs until just recently in 2018, when he retired from the biotech industry and focused solely on real estate and mortgage. Mr. Yu has managed and trained thousands of successful loan officers today and continues to grow and build through OriginPoint.
